Quests to do at home:

Make a book fair. Display the best books of all time, from all over the world. If you would like to display books that you don't own, you can print out the cover art.
Make an “it's a small world” or Around the World in 80 Days board game.
What does “it's a small world mean”? Explain the statement in your own words.
Make a list of all your favorite Disney songs. Compile the songs for your own album, complete with album cover art.
Make a list of the countries that you learned about recently. Organize them according to population.
Make an artistic rendition of a map of the world. Include the seven continents.
Make a real or pretend store, where you sell baked goods from eight different countries.
Using a long strip of paper, use one panel for each room in “it's a small world,” complete with pictures representing different countries.
List the world's continents by number of countries in each continent.
Estimate how many people visit “it's a small world” in one hour. What about one day?
What is your favorite place on earth? Why is it your favorite? Find out from others what their favorite places are and why. Discuss with them your reasons. Is your opinion swayed by their opinions? Write about it in your wizard journal.
Construct a miniature "it's a small world."
Similar to the story of Around the World in 80 Days, write a story about an adventurer who went around the world in eight days.
Translate the phrase, "it's a small world" into eight different languages.
Identify the many countries represented in "it's a small world." Take a blank world map and color in and label each of these countries.
Write your own hero's journey fiction story.
If you were to travel around the world in 80 days, what places would you visit? How long would you stay in each of these places?
Choose five countries. Devote one day to each of those countries. Eat their food, observe their customs, wear their costume, etc.
Make Celtic knots.
May make a miniature Stonehenge or design your own burial grounds monument.
Calculate how long it would take to travel around the world. What mode of transportation would you use? How long would it take using a different mode of transportation?
Read the following quote from Way of the Wizards: “Only a few -- the cleverest, the most skilled -- aspired to investigate nature’s unexplainable phenomena: the so-called ‘medicine men,’ the tribal ‘witch doctors,’ the Siberian ‘shaman,’ the ‘haingans’ of Africa, the Hindus’ ‘mahatma’ -- to name but a few. These few sought an understanding of -- and communication with -- the higher forces of the universe.” In your wizard journal, write your thoughts on this.
