Read through the fireworks and choose about five that you think might interest your child. Allow him or her to select 1-3 of them.

  • Read Roman Mysteries:

  • Make a report about the impact of the Romans on the British:

  • Prepare and eat a meal that the ancient Romans might have eaten.

  • Go on a Latin words scavenger hunt. Read a page from a book, the Internet, or newspaper. How many Latin-based words can you find? What did the original Latin words mean?

  • While Rome was a republic, political debates were important. Watch a political debate. Whose opinions do you agree with? Which candidate answers the questions best? Who do you think should win the election?

  • Make a display that shows a Roman war strategy.

  • Write a fictitious story set in the Roman Empire.
