Read through the fireworks and choose about five that you think might interest your child. Allow him or her to select 1-3 of them.

  • Play some math games at . When typing number answers, use the 10-key pad on the keyboard. Use the correct 10-key fingering.

  • Catalog everything in your home that uses a computer chip.

  • Dissect an old, unwanted computer. How many parts can you identify?

  • Write a story about a computer with artificial intelligence. Is it a good computer or a bad one? What does this computer do?

  • Make a commercial for a powerful computer. Be sure to include all the specifications.

  • Make a PowerPoint presentation about computers.

  • Practice typing:

  • Change some numbers into binary.

  • Compare bytes, kilobytes, megabytes, gigabytes, and terabytes. What are their values?

  • Shop for your dream computer.

  • Make a large picture book about computers.

  • Memorize the lyrics for the Computer Man song. Try the dance also!

  • Dissect an old computer.
