As humans, we are creatures who crave community. This class gives students the opportunity to learn what and where their community is, and how to participate in making it a better place. From our family and friends, to the city we live in, community is a vital part of our lives. We will make our community a little bit better through learning about, planning, and participating in painted rock projects, scavenger hunts, random acts of kindness, and service opportunities.
Activities include:
Discuss: What is a community?
Plan a scavenger hunt
Random acts of kindness/secret service mission/pay it forward
Brainstorming
Roleplaying
Rock painting
Service project
