Fireworks

Read through the fireworks and choose about five that you think might interest your child. Allow him or her to select 1-3 of them.

  • Make (French?) Valentine's Day cards for your family and friends

  • Read and discuss Orwell's Animal Farm.

  • Write and perform a rap battle between Napoleon Bonaparte and King George III.

  • Find out the populations of the various countries that Napoleon conquered. Make a timeline of events of the Napoleonic wars. Show the total population of the French Empire under Napoleon, as he increased in power and then lost it all.

  • Listen to some music from France.

  • Learn a traditional French dance.

  • Write a biography of Napoleon Bonaparte.

  • Write a news report about one of the battles that Napoleon fought in.

  • Write a war ballad about the Napoleonic Wars.
