Revolutionary Idea in Education
No Desks, No Grades, No Textbooks, No Tests?
This School Believes in Learning Outside the Box
YUCAIPA, CA—July 6, 2006—Yucaipa is in for a treat this fall. It is an innovative new school based on how the brain works and how children learn best. This radical approach has minimal “classroom” time, allowing children to learn through real-life experiences as much as possible.
Children who are fidgety and easily bored thrive with this method. Additionally, children who are advanced and don’t have the opportunity to move ahead are given the opportunity to learn at their own speed. And finally, with this method, the child who is chronically mediocre will have a chance to shine, as their individual abilities will be highlighted.
According to Celebration Education, less desk time equals more learning. In fact, children can learn faster and become independent, confident learners! Celebration Education is a part-time private school that uses Integrated Thematic Instruction by Susan Kovalik, which was created based on real brain research.
This approach is unlike any other. It sparks the children’s curiosity, allowing them to learn through individual learning styles, thus magnifying each student’s unique abilities. Refreshingly, children who have used this approach actually love school and learning!
Celebration Education will be holding two more parent discussions this summer for anyone who has an interest in this exciting school. They will be held July 14th and July 28th at 7:00 pm at the Yucaipa Community Center at 34900 Oak Glen Road. Individuals may RSVP by calling (909) 446-5962. Press is welcome.
